You can always contact the experts at ToplaKuća to install solar air collectors.

Mounting of the collector with ventilated operating mode with wall mounting

Air solar collector with ventilation mode of operation provides air intake from the environment, heating and automatic forced supply of warm dry air inside the house (building). The collector is equipped with a built-in fan and a solar panel, which ensures the operation of the fan from solar energy without additional connection to the power grid. The solar air collector from ToplaKuća is an efficient energy-saving device.

Exhaust port

In the case of a medium level of thermal insulation of the house (building), natural gaps and openings of the building (window and door gaps, stove pipe, gaps in the thermal insulation layer, etc.) are used as exhaust openings. If there is good thermal insulation, an additional exhaust opening is recommended – exhaust unit (not supplied).

Mounting of support brackets

Check that the fixing bolts are inserted into the groove to the maximum depth.

Recommendations for the location of the collector

The efficiency of the solar collector will depend mainly on its proper location. When selecting the location, the possibility of shade falling on the selected area should be taken into account. The collector should be installed on the south, southeast, or southwest side of the building.
It should be taken into account that if the collector is located on the southeast or southwest side, its efficiency will decrease by 10-15%.
The collector outlet should be located as low as possible, preferably at a distance of 30-50 cm from the floor.

High efficiency air manifold arrangement
Best case scenario
Medium efficiency air manifold arrangement
Medium efficiency level – one unheated room
Low efficiency air manifold arrangement
Low efficiency – two unheated rooms

  1. Determine the optimal location of the appliance according to the recommendations above;
  2. The unit can be installed either vertically or horizontally on a flat wall surface. Mark the outer sides of the collector and one mounting hole according to the dimensions of the collector, avoiding the hole from hitting the supporting beams of the structure;
  3. Drill the mounting hole with a drill bit. The recommended diameter of the mounting hole for the duct and control wire is 133-140 mm;
  4. Mount the supporting brackets (V10) to the wall using self-tapping screws (V13) according to the diagram. The brackets should be placed at least 2 pcs on the lower side of the collector, the rest on the upper or side sides.
    The collector is supplied with self-tapping screws (V13) for work on wood. When working on other types of surface, it is recommended to use self-tapping screws of the appropriate type;
  5. Pre-assemble the manifold:
    » Remove the protective film from the holes;
    » install filter mounts (V1, V2) on the collector body using screws (C4). The mountings can be installed both parallel and perpendicular to the collector housing, depending on the convenience of the subsequent filter replacement;
    » install the filter (V3) in the mountings (V1, V2);

Do not use the collector without a replacement filter, as this will significantly reduce its service life!

  1. install the cut-in with fan and locking spring (V4) using the screws (V6), connecting the wires beforehand, observing the polarity;
    » install the thermal insulation gasket (V5) on the tapping;
    » attach the corrugated pipe (V7) to the tapping (V4);
    » insert the corrugated tube with the manifold control wire into the mounting hole;
  2. Fix the assembled manifold to the brackets (V10) using the bolts (V11) according to the diagram;
  3. On the inside of the building, install the switch (V9) in a convenient location using self-tapping screws (V12) and connect the control wire to it;

Do not connect the collector control cable to the household power supply!

  1. Remove the diffuser mounting part with the check valve (V8) and install using self-tapping screws (V12), having previously attached the corrugated pipe (V7), cut off excess corrugated pipe if necessary;
  2. Install the diffuser with a check valve (V8) in the mounting part.

Operating and installation regulations for the wall-mounted circulation collector

The solar air collector with circulation mode provides air intake from inside the room, filtration, heating and forced supply of heated air inside the room. The collector mechanism is equipped with a distribution housing with a built-in fan and a solar panel that allows the fan to operate from solar energy without connection to a power supply. The ToplaKuća solar air collector is an efficient energy-saving device.

The collector should be installed on the south, southeast or southwest side of the building. It should be taken into account that if the collector is placed on the south-eastern or south-western side, its efficiency will decrease by 10-15%.
The recommended location of the collector is horizontal. At the same time, it is desirable to place the inlet and outlet of the collector in different rooms to ensure good air convection. The inlet and outlet openings should be located as low as possible, preferably 30-50 cm from the floor.

Mounting the collector vertically is permissible.

Mounting the collector vertically is permissible. In this case, the outlet (with fan) must be located higher.
