Bifacial

Bifacial solar panel is a type of solar panel capable of generating electricity from both sides. Unlike traditional monofacial panels, which have an active photovoltaic surface only on one side, bifacial panels can capture sunlight from both the front and back sides. This is achieved by using a transparent back layer that allows sunlight to penetrate through the panel and reflect off the surface beneath the panel back to the rear side of the panel for additional electricity generation.

The advantages of bifacial solar panels include higher efficiency and potentially greater amount of electricity generated compared to monofacial panels of the same area, especially in conditions where light reflection is optimal, for example, on light-colored or reflecting surfaces. This makes them particularly suitable for installations where space is limited but maximizing energy production is required.
