Privacy policy

1. Overview

This is the main privacy policy for Topla Kuća, as well as for certain services provided on this and other websites and applications

Topla Kuca collaborates with many companies, including data providers, advertisers, and publishers, to measure the effectiveness and reach of content that is watched or listened to on the Internet or radio for hours, regardless of what type of device people use to do it. For example, we help advertisers better understand the effects of campaigns on the public via TV, radio, computers, and mobile devices.

This policy applies to all data collected about you by Topla Kuća, regardless of how it is collected and stored, and describes, among other things, the types of information that are gathered about you when you participate in market research, how that information they may be used and when they may be disclosed, how you can control the use and disclosure of your information, and how your information is protected.

In this Privacy Policy, we will discuss the following topics and many others:

  1. What data do we collect?
  2. How we collect and use data
  3. Information regarding interest-based advertising
  4. What information do we provide to third parties?
  5. How you can change or control what is collected
  6. Information about non-EU users
  7. How this Privacy Policy may change
  8. Other useful information about your privacy
  9. How to contact Topla Kuća regarding questions and concerns you may have.
  10. There may also be other privacy policies that apply to certain services we provide. Please read them when registering or subscribing to these services on those websites.

2. The purpose of collecting user data

We at Topla Kuća collect different types of data about our users for 6 main reasons:

  1. For conducting research and analysis, including surveys;
  2. In order to carry out certain marketing activities;
  3. To help us monitor and improve the services we offer;
  4. To respond to your questions, concerns, or requests received through customer service;
  5. To communicate with you about your account;
  6. If we have the user’s permission, or where permitted by law, to sell services.

3. Our principles:

  1. Through the proper use of security technologies, we strive to protect your privacy as best as possible. It means that:
    • We must have adequate security measures to protect your data; and
    • When we ask other organizations to provide us with a specific service, we must check that they also take adequate security measures.
  2. We will respect your privacy. We collect personal data if you agree to receive advertisements (whether by email, post, SMS, or telephone) only from us and, if you agree, from other organizations we have carefully selected. We’ll make sure it’s clear when you can make these choices, we have boxes for you to tick if you want to receive ads, and you can change your decision if you no longer wish to receive them. However, we may occasionally email you to keep you informed or ask for your opinion on a particular topic.
  3. We will only collect and use individual user data if we have your consent or if we have a reasonable business reason to do so, such as collecting enough data to conduct surveys.
  4. We will be open in our cooperation with you about what data we collect about you and how we intend to use it.
  5. We will only use personal data for the purposes for which it was originally collected, and we will ensure that it is securely deleted.
  6. Our sites can be accessed via the Internet. This means that people around the world who access our websites can see your post on them, such as, for example, comments on an article.
  7. If we or our server providers take any data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), this will only be done if there is relevant protection (as set out in the GDPR law).
  8. What data we collect:

Topla Kuća can collect data about the content that was viewed (e.g., an advertisement, or an episode of a certain program), where the content was viewed (e.g., on which website or application), as well as general data about the device on which the content was viewed. (eg tablet or smartphone, advertising identifier, IP address, operating system).

Data from some of our services is then combined with data from other companies that record their own users’ data or collect consumer data in general. Those other companies provide aggregated or disguised public opinion statistics to Nielsen. We do not reveal to these third parties what content their users have watched, and Topla Kuća never learns the identities of users of other companies.

We do not disclose, nor attempt to disclose, the identities of individuals when conducting market research.

Our companies present randomly a short survey of users who have or have not been exposed to our client’s content. Answers are voluntary. If the user answers the questions in the survey, that answer is stored in the database. Surveys do not require or collect directly identifiable data.

4. Electronic mail system

Many of our services and websites allow you to send us a message via the electronic mail system (e-mail). We will use the information you provide to us to answer your question. We will only send you general information through the electronic mail system. On this occasion, we remind you that electronic mail systems are not always a secure way of communication and that they are vulnerable to interception of communication. Therefore, we suggest that you do not send sensitive personal information via e-mail. In cases where you need to submit sensitive data and information such as your bank account, credit card number, or social security number, it is a good idea to use an alternative method of submitting that information, such as a secure website, if possible.

5. How do we use this data?

We use the data to create various insights, reports and analyses, including the composition of the audience that viewed certain content, or the effectiveness of an advertising campaign.

Topla Kuća may also improve or calibrate data collected from other online or offline data sources or through research tools, including Nielsen’s data review (except for individually identifiable data). Other data sources may include social media or e-commerce websites. These additional sources allow us to conduct greater research and analysis regarding user demographics, preferences and Internet usage.

Our insights, reports and analyzes include only de-identified or aggregated data.

In order to help us with advertising, in addition to the data you give us during registration, we may also receive data from verified third parties that help us better understand your interests. This “profiled” data is obtained from a variety of sources, including publicly available data (such as the electoral roll) or from sources such as polls and polls, where you have consented to the sharing of your data. You can opt out of sharing such data with us from these sources by logging into your account and changing your privacy settings.

Behavioral targeting is another form that allows us and some of our advertising partners to show you ads that are based on your behavior patterns and interactions with websites that are not ours. For example, if you’ve visited an online clothing website, you’ll start seeing ads from that shopping site showing special offers or products you’ve been looking at. This allows companies to advertise to you if you have left their website without making a purchase.

If you wish to opt out of receiving online behavioral advertising, this does not mean that you will no longer receive advertisements when you use our websites. It just means that the ads you see won’t be tailored to you.
