TONGYI model fan coil units operate on the principle of heat exchange using water as the heat transfer medium, so they require a heat pump.

Why don’t fan coil units operate independently?

Fan coil units do not generate heat or cold by themselves. Their task is to efficiently transfer heat energy from the heat transfer medium (water) to the room air through a heat exchanger.

What it’s good for:

• This approach makes the system flexible: one heat pump can serve several fancoils in different rooms.
• Can be installed in rooms of different sizes and purposes (living room, bedroom, office).
